Solflare Cards, both virtual and physical, have temporarily stopped working.
Our card issuing partner, Kulipa, struggled to keep its operations going and is no longer able to support Solflare Card. We pushed to keep the card running as long as we could and would have liked to give you more notice, but the timing wasn’t ours to choose. We’re already moving Solflare Card to a new provider — one that brings the things you’ve asked for most: Apple Pay support, higher spending limits, and a cashback program.
While we’re moving to a new provider, your funds stay completely safe. There is nothing you need to do.
What comes next
We’re already integrating a new card issuing partner, with the new card expected in August. When the new program is ready, you’ll create a new card to continue.
The new card also brings some of the most-requested improvements out of the box: Apple Pay and Google Pay support, higher spending limits, and a fresh cashback system.
We’ll share exact details as we get closer.
What stops and what stays
Cards (virtual and physical): Both stopped working today, 28 July 2026, and will stay paused until the transition to the new partner completes. Any active subscription auto-renewals tied to your card will also stop working.
Everything else in Solflare: Completely unaffected. Your wallet, portfolio, staking, swaps — all working normally.
Borrow: If you have an open Borrow position, you keep access to it. The Borrow option stays available in the Cards tab while other card features are disabled.
Your funds are safe
Most card programs work by holding your balance with the card issuer or their banking partner. When that partner runs into problems, your money can get stuck, locked behind a bankruptcy process while you wait in line with other creditors.
Solflare Card was built differently. It’s self-custodial: your funds stay in your wallet, under your keys, and are spent directly from there at the moment of purchase. Nothing was ever topped up to or held by anyone other than you. You and you alone have access to the crypto in your wallet. This temporary situation doesn’t touch a single cent of it.
This is exactly what self-custody is about.
The bottom line
The card is paused temporarily, and the next version is already on the way.
We’ll be in touch.
