Why Was My KYC Verification Declined

Learn why your KYC (Know Your Customer) verification might be declined and how to successfully complete it.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Completing KYC verification is a key part of Solflare’s compliance process. It ensures that all users meet international security and regulatory standards a requirement shared across financial and digital platforms worldwide.

A declined KYC is not unusual. Each application is reviewed according to strict compliance checks, and some submissions may not meet the required criteria.

How to Resolve a Declined KYC

If your KYC verification was declined, you can try the following:

  1. Use a different ID document. A driver’s license or international passport typically provides the best results.

  2. Re-submit your documents in the Solflare app.

Tips for a Successful Verification

To increase your chances of approval, make sure your document images meet the following requirements:

  • Upload high-resolution, clear images or scans. Avoid blurry or pixelated photos.

  • Ensure all text is readable and not obscured by shadows, glare, or reflections.

  • Use the correct orientation as shown in the app example.

  • Confirm your document is valid and not expired.

  • Avoid uploading screenshots or photos of screens displaying your ID. This will cause rejection.

Important Note

Without a successful KYC verification, you won’t be able to access Solflare Card services.

However, you can continue using the Solflare Wallet normally for all other available features.

If you still experience issues, please contact Solflare Support for assistance.
