FAQ

Will I be able to export my phrase after May 11?

Yes, you can access your recovery phrase in MetaMask settings. A step-by-step guide is in this Help article.

Can I keep using Solflare?

Yes, you can import your recovery phrase in Solflare extension and/or mobile app. Solflare team continuously upgrades app on both platforms providing you with a leading experience on Solana.

Can I still access my funds after May 11?

Yes, Solflare Snap is self-custody, meaning that Snap doesn’t hold your recovery phrase or private keys. You can enter your phrase Solflare wallet (or in any other wallet app that supports Solana) and you’ll be able to access your funds. The same applies to any DeFi position you might hold.

Why is Snap being sunset?

MetaMask introduced native support for Solana in May 2025 which was Snap’s main use-case. We provided a prolonged grace period for users to either switch to native Solflare app or interact with Solana in MetaMask. Solfare team’s focus is now on building neobanking services, AI companion and wide set of test features.
