What is Customize Portfolio?
Customize Portfolio lets you rearrange the sections of your portfolio screen: Assets, DeFi, Staking, and others so the ones you actually use appear first.
Note: This is a display-only setting. It changes how your portfolio looks, not what's in it. See "Does this affect my balances or holdings?" below.
Where to find it
Platform | Where |
Web | Customize portfolio button at the bottom of your portfolio screen |
Expanded Extension | Customize portfolio button at the bottom of your portfolio screen |
Extension popup | Three-dots menu |
Mobile | Already available -> see "How is this different on Mobile?" below |
What you can change
Reordering: Drag any section into the order you prefer. This works the same way on both Web and Extension.
List length (Web only): For list-based sections — Assets, DeFi, and Staking — choose how many items are visible before you'd need to scroll or expand. This keeps a portfolio with a lot of holdings scannable at a glance.
Can I hide a section completely?
Not manually, on either Web or Extension, in this version.
That said, you'll rarely need to: on Web, any section where you hold nothing is hidden automatically. If you don't hold any DeFi positions, for example, the DeFi section simply won't appear — there's nothing to tidy up by hand.
Note: This is different from Mobile, where manual section hiding has been available for a while. See "How is this different on Mobile?" below.
Saving your changes
Your edits are not automatic you need to confirm them:
Reorder sections and/or adjust list lengths as you like.
Tap or click Save.
Look for the "Changes saved" confirmation message.
Does this affect my balances or holdings?
No. Customize Portfolio only changes how your portfolio is arranged on screen. Nothing is moved, sold, swapped, or otherwise changed, it's purely a display preference.
Note: If you're ever unsure after making a change, you can always check your Activity/transaction history to confirm nothing was actioned. Reordering sections never generates a transaction.
Why did my layout reset? (Layouts are per wallet, per browser)
This is the most common question about this feature if your custom order has disappeared, start here before assuming something's broken.
Your layout isn't stored on your Solflare account. It's saved locally, in the browser you set it in, and separately for each wallet in that browser. It resets to the default order whenever:
Scenario | Does your layout carry over? |
Same browser, same device, same wallet, later session | ✅ Yes |
Different browser, same device (e.g. Chrome → Firefox) | ❌ No, resets to default |
Different device altogether | ❌ No, resets to default |
Browser cache/cookies/site data cleared | ❌ No, resets to default |
A different wallet, even in the same browser | ❌ No, each wallet keeps its own layout |
None of these are bugs. Since your layout isn't tied to your account or synced anywhere, revisiting any of the situations above will always show the default order rather than your custom one.
Tip: If you regularly use Solflare across more than one browser, device, or wallet, you'll need to set your preferred layout in each one. There's currently no way to copy a saved layout from one to another.
Why does Web let me set list length, but Extension doesn't?
This is intentional, based on how each surface is laid out:
On Web, sections stack vertically on one screen limiting list length keeps a portfolio with many holdings easy to scan without endless scrolling.
In the Extension, each section is its own tab that already shows everything inside it. Since there's no long stacked list to trim in the first place, a list-length setting wouldn't do anything useful there.
How is this different on Mobile?
This particular release is new for Web and Extension only.
Mobile has had its own portfolio customization for a long time already, and it includes the ability to hide sections manually, which isn't available on Web or Extension in this version. If you're comparing what you can do on Mobile versus Web/Extension, this is the key difference to keep in mind.
