"Price is out of date"
This means the live price feed has momentarily stalled, but the last known price is still being shown. It doesn't block you from trading, but double-check the price before confirming, and give it a moment to reconnect — or refresh the app if it persists.
Confirm button is disabled / greyed out
This usually means one of the following:
The amount field is empty or zero
Market price or lot-size data hasn't finished loading yet — wait a moment
Your entered amount is below that market's minimum order size (see article 10)
No available leverage can reach the minimum for your entered amount
"Insufficient balance" error
The amount you've entered is higher than what's available from your selected funding source (wallet USDC or Perps balance). Try lowering the amount, or switch your collateral source if you have a balance in both places.
"Price impact too high"
Your order's estimated execution price has moved more than 2% away from what was expected — usually due to low liquidity or a fast-moving market. Try a smaller size, or wait a moment and retry.
"Maximum open positions reached"
Phoenix allows up to 32 isolated positions/orders per account. If you've hit that limit, close or consolidate an existing position before opening a new one. This only applies to opening brand-new positions — increasing an existing one is unaffected.
A transaction failed after I confirmed
You'll see a toast explaining the failure. If the form was still open, your entered amount is kept so you can simply try again — nothing is deducted unless a transaction actually succeeds.
Hardware wallet: "transaction expired"
If you're signing with a hardware wallet (Ledger, Keystone, or Shield) and don't complete the signature in time, the confirmation sheet closes and you'll see an expired-transaction message. This is a timeout, not a failure of the trade itself — just start the action again.
"Position no longer available"
This can happen if a position was closed or liquidated while you had an action form open on it (for example, someone else's device, or it hit its Stop Loss while you were mid-edit). Refresh and check the position's current state in Trade history.
